About this tour
You will find yourself in a real art studio where, with a hammer, tesserae, natural stone and the ancient direct method, you will assemble a mosaic of your own — on a classical subject or one that means something to you.
You will learn what smalto is, how to recognise the genuine Roman style, and how the ancient masters achieved such precision.
How it works
Length: about 3 hours
Format: your family only, with a Russian-speaking guide accompanying you
Included: all materials, a tour of the studio, the history of the techniques, and the master's own guidance
Also included: a meat and cheese board with local specialities and drinks; for the parents, a tasting of local wines can be added if you like.

How to prepare
No special preparation is needed. All the materials, tools and forms are provided on the spot. You do not need to be able to draw or to have any experience in art — only the wish to try something new and get into the making of it.
We suggest wearing comfortable clothes you will not mind working in. Everything else is up to us.
