Mission of the day: uncover the secrets of the ancient pharaohs.
Today the children head to the place where, thousands of years ago, mighty pharaohs lived, ruled and built their temples.
How the tour goes
The children will look closely at ancient images and symbols, search for interesting details and work out how the ancient Egyptians imagined their gods, their pharaohs and the afterlife.
In the Valley of the Kings we will imagine ourselves as real explorers, climbing down into underground tombs in search of traces of an ancient civilisation.
At the end of the day we gather everything we have learned and try to answer the big question: why did one of the most important centres of ancient Egypt grow up right here?
