This quest is a journey into the real life of ancient Rome. We walk one of the city's oldest routes — from the Circus Maximus to the Capitoline Hill, where the life of an enormous empire once churned. But instead of stories about wars and emperors we learn something else: how ordinary Romans lived. How they ate, studied, entertained themselves, haggled in the markets, went to school, used the public toilets and even… practised magic. Along the way the children complete tasks, measure distances in “Roman paces”, hold an ancient coin in their hands and try being residents of the ancient city. This is not simply a tour — it is a hands-on investigation of ancient Rome.
